那些为便利店、盒马鲜生等提供半成品食材的幕后公司逐步浮出水面，上海一家这样的公司便被佳沃集团看中了。9月13日，联想控股旗下佳沃集团宣布战略投资九橙（上海）餐饮服务有限公司 （下称“九橙食品”），目的是布局生鲜半成品（Ready to Cook）产业，也让联想控股和佳沃集团的生鲜食材产业链有了进一步发挥空间。不过，具体投资金额尚未对外透露。九橙食品是一家提供生鲜半成品系列产品的综合服务商，合作对象包括餐饮、生鲜电商、超市、便利店等，其官网资料显示，九橙中央厨房的客户包括盒马鲜生、宜家生鲜、城市超市、家乐福等。在产品方面九橙食品目前拥有“九橙NINE MASTERS”、“鲜特莱FRESH FOOD”、“味爱LOVEFOR”三大知名品牌产品系列，在生鲜半成品企业中具有一定知名度。据其官网介绍，目前全天快餐配送量近17000客，在上海地区现有客户约88家，其中世界500强企业15家。此次战略投资之后，佳沃集团将持有九橙食品68%的股份，同时佳沃集团投资总监王尊祥将担任九橙食品执行董事，负责九橙食品跨区域扩张并购和资源整合事宜。目前九橙食品业务集中在华东，九橙食品CEO姚炜达透露，九橙近期正在北京准备收购一个中央厨房，来拓展北京的市场，同时在深圳和广州也有计划。收购半成品企业，意味着佳沃想把现有的生鲜食材产业链资源进一步整合起来。佳沃集团董事总经理兼九橙食品董事长陈功栋认为，生鲜半成品是食材供应链行业消费升级的发展方向，也符合佳沃集团打造“全球资源+中国消费”的战略。2010年联想控股宣布进军农业，2013年5月，联想控股正式推出旗下现代农业品牌“佳沃”，当年联想控股在果业领域的投入已经超过10余亿元，产品包括蓝莓及猕猴桃。之后佳沃集团还布局了葡萄酒业务、茶产业、农资产品电商平台等。目前佳沃在境内外海鲜、牛肉、水果、生鲜零售等领域皆有布局。中产阶级为代表的家庭餐饮和以消费者体验为中心的新零售、电商平台、餐饮企业的发展，让生鲜半成品面临更多发展机遇。一方面现代家庭越来越接受购买半成品进行加工，一方面餐饮企业也需要安全可靠、定量化标准化的半成品以减轻经营中的压力，专家观点认为未来十年中国生鲜半成品行业将打造出万亿级的市场规模。与此同时，目前半成品市场集中度低，而全中国的饮食消费（家庭餐饮、社会餐饮、团餐消费）加起来可以达到10万-15万亿的市场，这给了佳沃更多机会。其他大公司也在以不同方式进入中央厨房半成品领域，新希望就是一例。2016年3月，新希望六和对外宣布，其将通过旗下投资平台——金橡树投资控股（天津）有限公司对北京嘉和一品企业管理有限公司的中央厨房进行全资收购，投资金额2.98亿元。而其看中的是嘉和一品中央厨房标准化加工模式，向其他餐饮提供半成品。零售类企业永辉超市，不仅在数年前投资过海底捞的中央厨房类公司——蜀海（北京）供应链管理有限责任公司，此后还在北京和重庆自建了中央厨房公司彩食鲜，除了向永辉超市提供生鲜类产品，还向其他中小餐饮企业提供生鲜和半成品B2B业务。
