昨天一键恢复系统，打开游戏可以玩，但是退出游戏后过一会弹出一个窗口C+++之类的，看不清楚就不见了。之后又像现在这样了，白还原系统了。

Application load error 5:
I've just reinstalled New Vegas, but whenever i try to launch the game i'm presented with the application error. I've already tried several things to fix this, validating the game several times, uninstall and reinstall, running in compatibility mode, checking my anti-virus etc, all of which didn't help solve anything. So i went to google and pcgwiki, which didn't help either, since the only thing i could really find was that this is apparently a common issue if you've pirated the game, which i haven't. :(I feel like i've hit a brick wall here, so if anyone out there can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

So, the cause is that the game can't locate steam.exeUsing mklink command, I created the link from FalloutNV folder for file steam.exe linked to its installation folder.e:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas enplczru&mklink &Steam.exe& &c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe& my FNV install dir is &e:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas enplczru&And it works

I had the same issue, gfor20ce's solution didn't work, but thanks to it I have discovered the solution in my case:I have used the ProcMon to track what files the game is looking for, when it launches, and found that it cant find Steam.exe, look it in wrong directory:FalloutNV.exe QueryOpen E:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas enplczru\steam.exe NAME NOT FOUNDFalloutNV.exe QueryOpen E:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\steam.exe NAME NOT FOUNDFalloutNV.exe QueryOpen E:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\steam.exe NAME NOT FOUNDSo, the cause is that the game can't locate steam.exeUsing mklink command, I created the link from FalloutNV folder for file steam.exe linked to its installation folder.e:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas enplczru&mklink &Steam.exe& &c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe& my FNV install dir is &e:\Games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas enplczru&And it works Okay - I did this, and it seemed to work, but now I get the following error message when I launch through NXM - [my fallout install directory] is not accessable.The directory name is invalid.So... now what?Additionally, a salient question would be: &If I run FNV through steam, and not through NXM, do my mods still work?&
